Get ready to ‘Move With Us’ as Westmeath Sports Partnership supports a full schedule of events during European Week of Sport, September 23-30, 2024. This annual celebration of physical activity aims to inspire people of all ages and abilities to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

From exhilarating squash taster sessions to serene SUP yoga and fun-filled Parkruns, there’s something for everyone and almost all of it is absolutely FREE to take part in.

Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, join us for a week of fun, friendship, and healthy living all across Co. Westmeath.

This year there is a special focus on focus on inclusion, well-being, and belonging with activities planned to accommodate people of all abilities and experience.

Sport and physical activity is for everyone, and when you play sport, you look good and feel good! Sport can also offer life opportunities and brings generations and communities together.

Activity: 5km-10km walk from Athlone Castle along the Old Rail Trail/Greenway and IDA Parklands Garrycastle to Athlone Castle. Group having tea/coffee after in Sean’s Bar.
